The HIV Prevention Lab conducts research on how to prevent HIV transmission among groups that are at a higher risk for acquiring HIV, specifically gay and bisexual men and other sexual minority men. We also conduct research on how to promote quality of life among people living with HIV. The mission of the HIV Prevention Lab is to conduct rigorous basic and applied research that can be used to prevent HIV transmission and promote positive sexual and mental health among vulnerable populations and people living with HIV.

If you identify as a member of one of these groups or otherwise work in an AIDS service organization, community-based organization, gay men’s health organization, or if you just work in public health and medical care for gay and bisexual men, we would love to hear from you!

Purpose
The purpose of the Community Advisory Board (CAB) is to act as the lab member’s link to community and to provide locally-relevant feedback into the designs of the HIV Prevention Lab’s studies. In order to achieve the goals of the lab, the CAB will play a large role in informing the recruitment of participants, the development of study instruments (such as questionnaires and recruitment tools), the distribution of findings and the promotion of those programs and interventions that are found to be effective.
