Research Interests

Marie’s research interests include exploring the sexual functioning of MSM. Her Master’s thesis explored various pathways leading from childhood sexual abuse to adult erectile dysfunction in gay and bisexual men. Specifically, it examined the mediating roles of substance use, coping, and emotion regulation in this relationship.

Clinical Interests

Marie is interested in cognitive-behavioural interventions in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. She is also interested in conducting interventions for sexual dysfunctions and couple distress. By completing practica in both general and medical settings, she has experience in the assessment and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, as well as health-related psychological disorders and sexual dysfunctions.
