Another year, another CAHR!

The Canadian Association for HIV Research (CAHR) held its annual conference this year from April 30th – May 3rd at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Co-chaired by Dr. Trevor Hart (Director of the HIV Prevention Lab) and Dr. Darrell Tan, this year’s theme of “Combining Strengths in the Struggle Against HIV” was well-represented by research within the four conference tracks – basic sciences, clinical sciences, epidemiology and public health sciences, and social sciences.

HIV Prevention Lab members showed up in force, IMG_1738with numerous grad students, post-docs, research staff, and volunteers taking in all of the exciting HIV research happening across Canada – in addition to presenting a bit of their own work. We presented six posters and one oral presentation at this year’s conference and all of the abstracts are published in a supplemental edition of the Canadian Journal of Infectious Diseases & Medical Microbiology which can be found here.

Hats off the conference organizers and we’ll see you next year at CAHR 2016 in Winnipeg!
