Allison earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Gender and Diversity, as well as a Graduate Certificate in University Teaching, from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She completed her clinical internship in HIV and LGBTQ Health Disparities from the Medical College of Georgia, and a clinical post-doctoral fellowship in LGBT Health from the Hines VA in Chicago. Allison joined the HIV Prevention Lab in September 2020 as a post-doctoral research fellow to assist with coordination of the Sexual Confidence RCT. Her research interests include examining the impacts of minority stress on sexual and gender minority mental/physical health and exploring the mediators of these relationships in order to inform and improve psychological interventions.
